Serving God both universally on the web and locally in the Midwest, the prayer of this ministry is that you and your family would be grounded in the truth of the Gospel. Our goal is to equip the Church with resources that will encourage you to live boldly for Jesus.
Founded in 2012 by teacher, author, and pastor Jordan Cernek (MTS, Reformed Baptist Seminary '23), the purpose of this ministry is based on three core truths: God is holy, man is sinful, and Jesus is the only savior. First of all, there is one true, holy God, revealed in creation and through his Son whom he sent. Secondly, man is depraved, utterly rebellious and sinful. Lastly, it is only through faith in Christ that we are saved by his grace alone - regenerated by his Spirit, recipients of the gift of faith by his grace, and growing into the likeness of him by the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is through a commitment to these timeless truths that Christian men and their families can be properly equipped to stand against today's anti-Christ views and practices. "Going beyond the normal" means to go to God's Word in order to think and live rightly in a crooked and perverse world.
All in all, we exist to inspire you to go beyond the normal because Christ wins.
How do we aim to accomplish this tall task? Through the use of various forms of media (writing, preaching, podcasting, and public speaking), we aim to teach the Word of God and help apply it to relevant issues you and I are facing today.

Why "Beyond Mediocrity"?
To begin with, mediocre is simply another word for normal. Normal is defined as "conforming to a standard of average, typical, usual, or expected."Â Operating from this definition, Beyond Mediocrity seeks to challenge the status-quo - the expected beliefs and socially acceptable practices of the general public - and call into question everything that is considered typical behavior, in order to bring every thought and action under the authority and headship of the truth of Jesus Christ our Lord (Ephesians 1:22).
